How to draw hair -- Theuer method

I found this tutorial with regard to drawing. As that is what I am doing right now, I thought I would post it on my Tutorial blog so I could find it again. It is nice that it is in real time, and quite interesting and not too long either. Enjoy.

Pants and Trousers - Attaching a Zipper

I was having trouble with understanding a so called "easy" sewing pattern for trousers which is my next sewing project, and then I had the brainwave of looking up "how to's" on the net. The following excellent example of a tutorial is what I found.

The written explanation was great, and the films were even better. I made up the zip with some tracing paper for the fabric and zip and all the pins and basting; trying it out Blue Peter style, following the video as I went. I was thrilled that it worked out, and now I am confident to go out and buy my fabric and zip to try it for real.

Once I figured out how to set in the zip, I went back to the instructions on my sewing pattern.  They were not wrong, but not having done a trouser zip before, I just could not grasp the concept of it, the video was pinnacle in my understanding.  The funny thing is, that now I re-read it, I wonder why I had so much trouble in the first place.  I suppose hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Sorry for the long absences to posting on my various "Trees aWard in ..." blogs of late, this is due to me convalescing from a long term illness. I am currently doing more Art than crafts and when I have the energy I will be posting on my Art blog.  Sorry for the inconvenience.
